50 Songs that reflect my TCK heart.

"Music either makes you forget everything or remember something." The number of times that I hear an "old" song and it immediately transports me back to a memory, a person or a place is mind blowing. I can be in the store and suddenly hear a song and then the waterworks start. I can't help it. Either its because I miss the person or because I miss how I felt. Especially as a TCK, I notice that particular places have certain songs associated to them. Sometimes its because someone introduced the song to me, sometimes its because I listened to the song on repeat a million times.
"Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent." I often think about how vulnerable musicians are with us. Its like publishing your diary entries. Your deepest darkest thoughts. It must be terrifying. Those of us who have a hard time with words, we're the lucky ones. Because even if I don't know how to say it, there's a song somewhere that explains my heart for me.
I love music. Someone once told me that if you want to know someone’s heart, listen to their most played songs. It’s so true though! When I’m depressed I listen to sad songs and when I’m feeling positive I listen to happy songs. It’s pretty simple. Over the past few years I’ve found more and more songs that relate to my TCK life and emotions. There's a lot of different genres, artists and years that they were released. Some of these artists are TCK's themselves.
Here’s a little list for you, Enjoy!
